As a Navy Veteran, Engineer, and avid outdoorsman, I've always enjoyed creating functional items for everyday use. What started as a hobby 15 years ago has now created a fun way to put my skills to use while connecting with my community and family through quality leather products. A Dying Artform
The Aleutian goose population was estimated at a few hundred birds in 1967, through restoration efforts their population grew to an estimated 114,000 by 2008 and was considered a recovered species. When I started leatherwork, I felt like it was endangered as well, there was no one in my circle of acquaintances, friends, or family to learn from. I relied on books, publications, and old-fashioned trial and error. Like the Aleutian Goose, custom leatherwork has grown in appreciation and popularity.
